Dr.William T. PerksChiropractor
Dr. William T. Perks grew up near Tampa, FL. A baseball shoulder injury led him to a chiropractor that helped him so much he was inspired to become a Doctor of Chiropractic himself. After recovering from his injury, Dr. Perks went on to earn an athletic scholarship and played baseball in college. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida in Orlando and the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
Community service is important to him as he has volunteered in school committees, youth sports leagues, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, domestic violence shelter board, held leadership positions as Chamber and Rotary president and been recognized by peers as Rotarian of the Year and a Paul Harris Fellow, the highest level of honor given by Rotary International. He has served his church in the roll as an ordained Baptist deacon, is a Kentucky Colonel, and is a member of several healthcare related councils and associations.
A 'student for life' is how he describes himself. Seminars to keep him up to date on the latest and most effective treatment approaches are of paramount importance to Dr. Perks to better serve his patients. He has completed post-graduate courses on subjects such as Traumatic Motor Vehicle Collision Injuries and Documentation, Sports Injuries and Extremity Rehabilitation, Headaches, Pregnancy and Pediatric Spinal Care, Scoliosis management, Natural Solutions for Weight Gain and Metabolic Disorders, Thyroid and Diabetic Disease, Detoxification and Cellular Resonant Frequency Technology in Functional Medicine.
Dr. Perks is credentialed as an expert courtroom witness in traumatic spine injuries and his expert opinion and live testimony has been requested and utilized in several litigated personal injury cases. He actually enjoys live courtroom testimony.
Dr. Perks enjoys golf, sports spectating, reading, riding and racing ATV's, deer hunting, and wrestling around with his 4 boys and their golden retrievers. He is also an accomplished runner and recently ran his second World Marathon Major, the Chicago marathon. He and his amazing wife enjoy taking the family boating, traveling, and trying new foods.
